At the bottom

After two years working on this project, I have made it down to the bottom again!  I am so thrilled, and yet so tired of working on this.  I want to finish, but don’t want to work on it.  I want to work on something else, but feel that I am so close to finishing, if I could just keep going, I would be done sooner!  Must keep stitching!!!

Finished part 10!!!!!

I’m so excited-I finished part 10!   No more houses to stitch!  Just the border to go, then the beading.  Wait-that’s probably too much to think about right now.  So it’s time to move on to Sunnia.  I am determined to finish these 2 darn WIP’s this year!

Hot, Hot, Baby….

Although the weather channel’s official temp for Willows is 108 degrees, in my backyard this is the official temp of Willows, CA.  108 would feel delicious, instead of the stifling, oppressive heatwave that hits you in the face like the flame of a furnace if you dare to open the back door.  Me like air conditioning!

Finished part 9!!

I mis-spoke below-I actually was on my way to finishing part 9 of White Nights-and today I did it!  Yay!!!  I didn’t want to take it out of the Q-snaps, so I just took a quick picture of the bottom section I finished.  Now I have two more part 10’s left, and then the border.  Doesn’t sound like much, but I think it will take alot longer than it sounds!

Nothing new..

I have been feeling better the last few days-thanks for all the well wishes!  So I was able to start stitching on Sunday and today managed to finished another side 8 on White Nights.  Sometimes this one feels like a never-ending project, because it continues to repeat itself.  I have a couple of other Chatelaines, but they don’t all have the same motif over and over.  It will be something to keep in mind for future purchases that the sections you might have  to stitch 4 times can make you a little loopy!

Here is my Orts for the TUSAL.  I switched up containers, but you still can’t really see the colors.  Maybe because there is a lot of brown in there from Sunnia.

And finally, here are my kids and dog.  It is 100 degrees outside, they are bored and the dog is supposed to be a star in a soon to be motion picture made by my daughter.  None of them look too interested-just hot!

In recovery too…

I had my gall bladder out yesterday, just one day after Monique from Inside Number Twenty. I feel pretty much like her-someone took my stomach muscles on the right and gave them a good workout! I haven’t even tried stitching, as I can barely manage reading with the post anesthesia/pain med brain fog. And I hope at some point I will have a good long sleep, as it is pretty uncomfortable right now.

Goal made!

My goal for the year on the HAED BB was to finish 6 pages.  I finished my 6th page today!!!  I am so happy that I actually completed a goal this year, and that I am getting really close to finishing.  I have 3 whole pages left, and all the rest are partial pages.  I really think I can finish this by the end of they year, or even sooner.

8th Grade Graduation

Well, my baby graduated from 8th grade last night.  He looked so grown up in his suit and of course the red gown.  He had some struggles this year, but has managed to overcome most of them, thanks to some special people in his life.  I am so proud of him and glad that junior high is over for both of my kids!

Sunnia update

Well I didn’t make my goal in May of finishing this page.  Hopefully in June I will finish it and the next one too.

Things are busy around here-William has his 8th grade graduation on Thursday evening, tomorrow is the 8th grade field trip and then he has to play at 2 other graduations.  I think he will be glad to get this week over with.

I finally found the source of my tummy issues-apparently my gall bladder has given up the ghost.  I am scheduled for surgery on the 17th, and hopefully will only be off work for a week, maybe two.  I hope it gets here quickly and I feel better soon-I hate feeling like I was sucker punched all the time!

Another finish!

Here is another finish-Mirabilia’s Shimmering Mermaid.  This was my New Year’s Day Start, and took me about 95 hours to stitch.  That beading was a bear!  I didn’t stitch the compass or the corners-I like it better without.
